Description

Description: Scientific name is Taxodium distichum ‘Cascade Falls’ and is 6 feet tall, staked in a 7-gallon pot and is very nice looking. Attracts songbirds and loves full sun with average water and low maintenance. The bald cypress is native to southeastern United States and is cultivated for its unique trait of being a decidous conifer with feathery foliage. This cultivar, 'Cascade Falls', is revered for it weeping habit with branches and secondary branches that flow to the ground. This tree will need elbow room to really shine. Selective and directional pruning is the only way to sculp this plant if needed, otherwise let the random yet guided-by-nature habit of this plant take flight. Mature size 8-12 H x 8-10 W grown in full sun with slightly acidic, organically rich loamy soils. Use this tree as a specimen to make a statement and provide texture, color, and winter interest.
